Science is not a crystal ball

A while ago, I remarked to an opinionated owner of a liquor shop that scientists arrogate much more knowledge to themselves than they really merit. Science is not a flawless crystal ball. Their hypothesis and laws change as frequently as Uncle Papingo's sartorials. Take note, readers. We are wiser than they for knowing that human intelligence is over-exaggerated.
